Showing all products in AUD converted from different currency sources?
-
Hi,
We’re based in Australia and just published our new WooCommerce website. We import different software/hardware products from different countries (local, UK, Hong Kong) and resell to our Australian customers. So naturally all our product prices should be displayed in AUD, and our customers shouldn’t be worried about paying with foreign currencies.
But we need to pay our suppliers with different currencies (AUD, Euro, USD). So to prevent monetary loss due to exchange rate fluctuation, we’re looking for a plugin to let us
(1) Set the product price based on the native currency we pay for goods in WooCommerce backend. Say we need to pay USD $700 to our supplier in HK to get Item A, and we’re looking for a 30% margin so we set the price for Item A as USD $1,000.
(2) On the store page that our Australian customers see, the price of Item A gets automatically converted and shown in AUD based on the real-time USD/AUD exchange rate. For example, USD/AUD = 1.493 at this moment so the Item A should be displayed as AUD $1,493, and this is what our customer will pay us.
Is this achievable with the “Currency Exchange for WooCommerce” plugin? Again our customers don’t need to see or select other currencies.
ps. I simplified my question here since we have some products that we can sell to both Australian and Chinese customers. So I would like to display them in AUD or RMB respectively based on their IP, at the same time in the backend I still pay my supplier in USD. But this is another story.
Is there anyone using a similar setup with this plugin? Is it doable?
Thanks heaps.
Best,
Acon
