Have you checked your hosting error log for clues?

Ive used flat before but havent installed it fresh on the latest version but it would be weird if its a theme thing.

Can you still access dashboard to try other themes?

I cannot get to dashboard but this is the error that comes up now I’ve added ‘define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true );’ to the wp-config.php
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in …../flat/functions.php on line 65

OK well Id change your theme back to default via phpmyadmin:

https://www.inkthemes.com/wordpress-database-theme-change/

Then install another theme to see if you get the same issue. If not you know its something happening with flat.

Did you upload yourself or use the plugin installer in the admin?

others work so it must be flat. It’s been installed via FTP and via the plugin installer in admin

Id need to test this myself to be sure. Perhaps the theme dev an confirm.

For now Id not use it but like I said check your hosting error log as this may have clues.

There are other themes very similar to flat out there…..like 2015 ??

I was using 2014 but it was messing with the styling of the go portfolio plugin I want to use and then I tried 2015 and it messed up.
Will try dl 2015 again to start it fresh and see how it works :S!

Could be the portfolio plugins problem?

even with it deactivated flat theme doesn’t work *sigh* will keep looking

no I moved on from the theme and reset it all in the ftp by removing flat theme and using default to remove white screen.
