Showing Blog Stats Over A Selected Time Frame

Is it possible to use these shortcodes to only show stats over a certain period of time?

For example, if I want to display stats such as:

– number of blog posts in the last 7 days
– number of blog posts today
– number of blog comments in the last 7 days
– number of blog comments today
