Showing Custom "Post" as a single page using permalink

I am using the Custom Post Type to create the following:
– Event Page with slider / upcoming / featured events
– Upcoming events list with content preview
– Single event page with all information from single post

The first two pages are working without a problem but I cannot make the single post page work for some reason.

You can see the pages I am referencing at:

https://e21bak.oru.edu/events-3/ and when you click on the Upcoming Events Button you can see the list (still refining) at https://e21bak.oru.edu/events-3/upcoming-events/

Anytime you click on the actual post title such as “Event 1” or “Jon’s Day” it comes up with a 404 Error as Page Not Fount even though I am using the the_permalink() function.
