    Hi,

I am trying to show the “neighborhood” information for user generated events. Basically, i would like to know how i could use the events coordinate generated by events-manager/google map api to find out the name of the neighborhood for that events.

For example, instead of just having “28 jones street, New York, NY, 10014, USA” i would like to have “28 jones street, West Village, New York, NY, 10014, USA.

Is it something events-manager supports out of the box. If not, how could i achieve that. FYI – i am not a developer but i can mess around with basic syntax.

    Many thanks,
    Yvan

sorry for the confusion but do you want to change the location detail format? also, can you give us more details about “show the “neighborhood” information for user generated events” ?

    Hi,

Thanks so much for the response. Basically when a user creates an events on the front end, they are able to input their street address, city, etc. I understand events-manager leverages the google map api which does provide neighborhood info (ie. “Mission” would be a neighborhood in San Francisco).

So my question is two fold:

    1. Is there a quick and dirty way to get that information using attributes?
    2. If not, do you know how i could modify some of the files to achieve this?

Many thanks for all your help. You guys have put together a pretty incredible product!

    Best,

    Hi,

Any updates on this? Being able to user to quickly sort through events based on location (at the neighborhood level) is very important for my site.

    Many thanks,

    Hi,

Thanks a lot. Would this work for on the global map view as well?

Custom event attributes / fields can be accessed any time event info is retrieved.
