showing excerpt with image on main page

I just changed my index.php file to be ‘excerpt’ instead of ‘content’ to show a shortened version of each entry – but how can I have the image still appear with the posting? My blog can be viewed here: https://www.bestweddingsites.com/weddingnews/ But, for example, the first post: https://bestweddingsites.com/weddingnews/?p=67 actually has an image. I would like to still have the image show with the excerpt to grab the readers attention – can this be done? I sure hope so. Please let me know.
