• First off, thanks for a great plug-in. In general, it works well. However, something seems to have gone wrong on a blog post I just wrote.

If you look at the page linked above, you’ll see the sixth paragraph (starts with “The sample repository contains”) has a link on the 2nd and 3rd words. The target of the link is https://github.com/MrYossu/TelerikGridWithDapper, which is a live link. However, the plug-in has marked it as broken.

Same goes for the link at the end of the previous paragraph. That’s to the same repository.

Any ideas what’s going wrong? Thanks again

    Hi @mryossu

    I hope you’re well today!

I checked and both these links return “404 not found” for me, when visited directly in browser. Take a look, please:

Are you sure they are correct or, if they are, they aren’t e.g. private so you can only access them being logged-in/authorized GitHub user/repo owner? Note that plugin cannot act as logged-in GitHub account so it will visit each link just like any 3rd-party visitor would do.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

    @adam Ooh, I are daft!

By mistake I created the repo as private, so only I can access it ??. I changed it to public, which should fix it.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Hi @mryossu

I tested both URLs on my lab site and they seem to be ok. I visited your page and they seem to be still marked as broken. Can you clear your site cache, and any server-side cache, and see if that helps?

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

@kris Thanks for the reply. Pardon my ignorance, but how do I clear those two caches?

    Thanks again.

    Hi @mryossu,

but how do I clear those two caches?

If you are using any cache plugins, then you could clear the cache via the plugin in your WP dashboard. The server cache would be more specific to the hosting provider, so you’ll have to check and confirm with your host whether there is a cache enabled and clear if needed.

I do see the site is connected with Cloudflare, so you could also check and see if there is any cache enabled on the Cloudflare side which needs to be cleared too.

Please do let us know how that goes.

    Kind Regards,

    Nithin

@nithin Only just seen this but the problem seems to have corrected itself, so it’s likely it was Cloudflare’s cache that was the issue.

    Thanks very much
