Showing old comments on blog sidebar

    The site uses the Better Recent Comments shortcode in a text widget on the sidebar. On the home page, the widget shows actual recent comments, from 2020, but on the blog posts, the widget shows comments from 2012. I disabled WP Super Cache caching and cleared the Cloudflare cache with no effects.

    The default Recent Comments widget appears below the text widget with the BRC shortcode, and it correctly displays recent comments both on home page and blog posts.

    I’m sorry to hear you’re having difficulty with displaying recent comments in a sidebar widget using the Better Recent Comments shortcode in the default (blog) posts template on your site. Thanks for getting in touch so we can help you sort it out.

    I reviewed the linked page you shared and see what you mean.

    The issue you’re experiencing can be due to a conflict with the theme or another plugin.

    To find the cause, please could you temporarily switch to a default theme (e.g. Twenty Nineteen) and deactivate all non-essential plugins apart from Better Recent Comments, and see if it resolves the issue. You can then reactivate everything one by one to find out which causes it.
