  • This is not a problem I have encountered before. Could I have you submit a support ticket here on our website? Most importantly please include your System Info which can be located by going to: WordPress DashBoard – Facebook Feed – Settings – Support (tabbed page) – select all text in the info box, copy and paste your ‘System Info’ into your reply.

With that information I will be able to examine your settings, set up a test working environment and work towards determining the cause of the issue you are experiencing.

    Thanks.

Thanks so much for your quick reply! Now, the feed is working fine…really not sure what happened. I’ll see if anything changes.

    Hey wipdowntown,

I am happy to hear all is well for now. If for some reason something changes with the plugin just contact us with the plugin’s System Info using the link above.

I hope the rest of your day is going great.

    Hey wipdowntown,

One other thing that just crossed my mind that might have been affecting the feed where old posts are being displayed and the newest posts are not showing up is an issue that first surfaced in a change around August, 2015 when WordPress was handling transient cache differently.

In response to that change we introduced a new setting in the plugin which can be found by going to your WordPress Dashboard- Facebook Feed – Customize – Misc (tabbed page) – scroll to the bottom of the page and in the drop-down selector next to the last setting “Force cache to clear on interval” make sure you have the setting to “Yes”. Then click on “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page.

If you happen to experience this issue again my recommendation would be to first check that setting and make sure it is set to “Yes”.

Thank you for that last note David, that is exactly what happened to a client’s site. The last Facebook post displayed was from 10 months ago and enabling that setting fixed the issue!

    Cheers!

    You’re welcome, happy to help!

No obligation at all, but if you like the plugin and support you received and feel like leaving a super-quick review here then we always appreciate it ??

Just let me know if you have any other questions in future, and have a good week!
