Hey I assume that I the tutorial site where I use Koko Analytics have also been impacted by an Ad blocker. This one used in the Brave browser.
As for all of October I see only two days with stats and the rest is blank when checking the Dashboard -> Analytics page and the main Dashboard screen. I see the same in the Vivaldi browser.

Let us know what we can do to help get this working again.

    Hello @paaljoachim,

You can disable your ad-blocker temporarily to determine whether that is really the issue. If that fixes it, you can go into your ad-blocker settings and setup an exception for your own sites usually.

Alternatively, the EasyList authors have already updated their lists to only block the data collection endpoint so if you have a way of updating your ad-blocker to pull in the latest lists (out for a bit over 2 weeks now) then you can do that too.

Also, make sure to empty your browser cache to ensure it’s not simply a browser cache issue.

    Hope that helps. Good luck!

    Hey Danny

Brave has a built in Ad blocker (I am not using any browser extension to block ads). I figured out how to do a hard refresh in Brave to see if I could see any difference. I noticed no difference though.
    Have a great weekend!

    Hi @paaljoachim

You can control the Brave build in adblocker by clicking the brave shied on the right next to your URL bar. That is where you can turn off the adblocker for a specific site while you visit that site.

Thanks! I noticed another thread mention the Duplicator Pro plugin that it might be messing with WP Cron. I use Duplicator Pro on my various web sites.

I turned off the shield a while ago and could not see any difference. It continues to only track visitors when I login to the site. So it lumps it into each time I login.

I also talked with a client using another browser and they are not able to view the Koko stats on their site.

I do not know what to do about this as Koko Analytics is just not working on various client sites I manage.

I plan on taking this to Github as it is easier to add screenshots, videos etc there….

I made this Github issue: https://github.com/ibericode/koko-analytics/issues/235

Likely what is happening that your wp-cron is either stuck or not working.
Normally Koko will aggregate stats periodically via a wp-cron task, but it also does that when you visit the koko dashboard.

You can install Advanced Cron Manager and see if there is some task at the top of the queue that never finishes, that may be blocking everything else from executing. Or it’s possible that wp-cron isn’t configured correctly on your host, some hosting providers require you to create a manual cron-job that hits /wp-cron.php every few minutes. You can ask your hosting support about this.

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let me know!

    Hey @lapzor

    Thank you for the response!
I went ahead and installed and activated Advanced Cron Manager.
Went to Tools -> Cron Manager.
I am not seeing anything that is stuck in the top.
I posted a screenshot in the Github issue.

Upon additional testing it seems that Duplicator Pro is still impacting the Cron Manager jobs. There is a thread for it here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/problem-statistics-since-update/
(It should by now been updated.)

I have also emailed Duplicator Pro support and gave them the Github issue to where I share various screenshots along the way.

The solution I have for now. If using Duplicator.
    Take a backup.
    Deactivate Duplicator.
Do a bunch of hard refreshes.
Hopefully Koko Analytics will now show the stats daily.

A new version of Duplicator has been released today and it seems like the necessary fix for this problem is present in the code.
