Showing page with user profile

I want to show a page for each user with his/her user profile data that appears at clicking on the name under the post for example. And then I want a page with a list with all user names displayed. (I am sure this question has been asked a thousand times, but the search function seems to be down at the moment – I have permanent time outs).
