    Hello!

Thank you very much for the Photonic plug-in, it’s really good and convenient!

I just have a small issue with it: I can’t manage to show the pictures from Flickr with the Lightbox in full screen. I tried a lot of settings and several Lightboxes, but it’s always a smaller image that shows. I tried the setting: “Lightgallery – Fullscreen”.

And a last thing: I’d like to hide the titles of the pictures in the Lightbox. I tried “Native WP Galleries” – “Photo titles and captions” but it didn’t work.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Sorry, I didn’t have access to a computer yesterday, hence the delay in responding.

You seem to have set a low “Main Image Size” under Photonic → Settings → Flickr → Flickr Settings → Main Image Size. It looks like your setting is “Medium, 800px on longest side”. If you bump it up you should be fine.

There is no provision to hide the titles on the lightbox. However, once you have fixed the size issue and have finalized a lightbox, let me know and we can hide the title using some custom CSS code.

Thank you very much for your help, it worked indeed! It’s weird, I was quite sure to have tried that, but maybe I’m mistaken…

Anyway, if I could now just hide the title and the sharing buttons below (Facebook, Twitter, etc) when I’m in the Lightbox, it would be just perfect!

    Thank you again!

You can disable social media from Photonic → Settings → Generic Options → Generic Settings → Social media integration.

You can hide the title using this custom CSS:

    #swipebox-title { display: none; }

Thank you very much again for your quick answer!

I was able to hide the social sharing buttons thanks to you, but I don’t know where to put this CSS code… I tried in 3 places (the CSS part in the Customize area of the theme, and in Photonic → Settings → Generic Options → Generic Settings → Non-bundled Lightbox JS & Custom Lightbox CSS), but it did nothing. It seems I have to put an URL in the latter 2 but I have no idea which one.

I’m quite a beginner in all of that, do I need to write something else for the CSS to work, or did I put it in the wrong place?

Sorry to bother you with something so easy…

The “the CSS part in the Customize area of the theme” is the right place to put it in. I am not seeing it defined in this location for your site at present though.

I put back your code in the right area now, however it appears fine in the viewer when I preview the CSS code in the Customize area (no title for the pictures), but after having saved that and checking my website normally, the titles are still there.
It’s not the first time I have this same problem: the CSS code appears working within the live preview but actually it does nothing outside of the live preview… I put CSS code to remove the titles on my pages but they are still here.

I don’t know if you have an idea to resolve that, please?

Strictly speaking, this doesn’t fall under the purview of Photonic. But, if I were to venture a guess, I would suspect that either your theme or another plugin might be interfering with the inclusion of the custom CSS.

Another thing to try would be to see if your theme allows for inclusion of custom CSS via its own options, in which case you can put the above code in there.

I am marking this thread resolved as I don’t believe there is anything else to solve from Photonic’s point of view. If, however, you feel that you still require help from my side, please feel free to reopen this.

Yes, I thought so, indeed it’s resolved for me then, thank you very much for everything and your great plug-in!

For any potential WordPress beginner like me looking for a solution for the same problem: I solved my issue. I had to “Publish” the changes I made in the Customize page, but before I just saved a draft each time. I just discovered that you can publish from “Customize”, not just save your draft.

Indeed, now the titles on the pictures are gone, thanks a lot!
