[showReg] Issue?

The [showCalendar] is for the main book a room plugin.

The [showReg] is the event calendar shortcode.

I just tried to register a test and it seemed to work. I even got the email telling me I registered.

Thanks…I have not even tried to register for an event yet, I am stuck at reserving a room, something like this link: https://meetings.heightslibrary.org/reserve-a-meeting-room/?action=reserve&roomID=1

I just tried the even registration, that works perfectly, I received the confirmation email and everything. I am just trying to get the reserve a meeting room part working…

When I go to:

I see the event calendar.

Do you have a page with just the shortcode [meetingRooms]?

And in the settings, you need to point to that page under “URL for reservations page”.

There are 2 separate things at work here: Meetings and Events.

Events are created in the Admin area and are staff created meetings that patrons can attend.

Meetings are patron reservations that need to be approved and paid.

Your meeting room signup is showing the event calendar, so I think you need to double check the shortcode. Let me know what shortcode is on that page.

when you click the link to reserve a room, it gets linked to: https://noelschroeder.com/reserve-a-meeting-room/ which has the short code of [showReg]. This is where I am stuck, there is no place for a patron to create a meeting, or reserve a room for approval and payment later. Could this be because I am logged in as the admin?

I can create events with no problem in the admin area. It shows up fine on the daily schedule printout and every other place.

It should not be linking to /reserve-a-meeting-room/. That is only for registering for events.

In your settings, the page should be the same as the top url, /meeting-rooms/.

In other words, you are sending people from the meeting rooms page to the events registration page:

https://noelschroeder.com/reserve-a-meeting-room/?action=reserve&roomID=1

When they need to keep on the meeting room page:

https://noelschroeder.com/meeting-rooms/?action=reserve&roomID=1

I can almost guarantee it’s that URL in your settings.
