• Hi all, I have been pulling my hairs out about this one.

I have different categories, for example: design, concepts, books and design processes.

On my wordpress pages, and then I mean pages as understood in wordpress land (like Home and about in my case) as shown in my blog https://www.interactiondesignblog.com/

I would like to add another page called ‘Design’ next to Home and about. When you click the page ‘Design’ I want all my posts that are categorized as design to show up there.

I know it is against wordpress nature to show posts on a page, but I basically want to get the same result as when you click the category ‘design’ –> all posts in the category design. (in the same format as normally)

I read ‘Category Templates’ and ‘Template Hierarchy’ but I get lost, sorry no Php guru here.

To make things a bit more complicated I want to exclude all posts of the category ‘design’ to show up on the home page.

In these posts are some hints:

I hope you have some suggestions.

  • I found this article some place (can’t find it now) when I wanted have a page that showed all posts with the category pictures and this is what I did:
In the page title, I put:
    a href=”https://mang.dwellydesigns.com/category/pictures/”My Pictures</a
add < at beginning and > at end

the article stated that you have to use 2 words for the name of the page, ie ‘My Pictures’

that worked fine foe me. sorry i can’t find the article…
