Shows number of WP Comments even when disabled

  • Using Divi 2.5.3, latest version of WP, no other plugins installed.

    I have disabled the WP comment feature via the Divi control panel. Nothing appears (when Facebook Comments is disabled) so that part is working properly.

    HOWEVER when I enable Facebook Comments after disabling the standard WP comments, a “0 comments” appears to show there are 0 wordpress comments. Under the “0 comments”, it shows “0 comments” for the FB Comments section.

    I thought this was a Divi error at first but it only appears when I enable Facebook Comments so there is nothing they can fix (I think).

    Any way to get this working right?
