Shows the name of what widget was there even when widget is removed

    Yes, this is not an elegant solution but an elegant hack of a plugin that does what is not supposed to be done according to the way WordPress works.

    So, as of now the widget area is just used as a container from where the menu functionality can pick up a list of widgets to add to the available widgets in the menu area. Other than that it has no cognizance of the widget areas.

    Ideally, you should just delete your widgets from the menu area instead of the widget area.
