Shows up only for imported comments

I installed and activated this plugin. I only see it on pages that have wordpress comments. When it does show up the comments are automatically closed. The disqus comment field does not show up on new posts (again until a wordpress comment is entered).

I am getting my wordpress comments from an import from facebook and twitter links.
