• I own a lifetime license but I can’t contact them to report bugs without paying for support.

    I am sick of wasting time with this plugin, today I wasted hours trying to create Shipping Conditions by Class, it just fails to work.

    Then I installed a free plugin to do the same thing and had it working within minutes.

The previous model, while initially beneficial, was not sustainable in the long run due to the unforeseen scale of usage and, unfortunately, in some cases, misuse of lifetime licenses.

    Additionally, the WordPress plugin industry has largely shifted away from lifetime licenses as a standard practice. We were receiving an overwhelming volume of support requests, making it impossible to maintain the high level of service our customers expect within reasonable timeframes.

    To ensure the ongoing development and improvement of Booster for WooCommerce, and to align with industry standards, we had to make this difficult decision in 2021 to adopt a more sustainable licensing model.

    We want to assure you that we value your early support immensely. As such, we are fully honoring the terms of the lifetime licenses purchased. This means you will continue to receive all updates and support that were available at the time of your purchase in 2021.

    We understand that this may not fully address your concerns, but we believe that evolving our business practices is essential to ensure the long-term viability of Booster for WooCommerce and to continue providing the best possible product and support to all our customers.

    It’s a fundamentally dishonest response to say WordPress plugin industry has largely shifted away from lifetime licenses.

    Yes, established software companies with a good reputation move away from lifetime licenses because everybody knows that they are not sustainable in the long run, and they are not meant to be. The purpose of lifetime licenses is to help establish the company. We all know that. You know that, I know that, and the multitude of new software companies or established ones launching a new product who right now are offering lifetime licenses know that.

    The point is, when your product does not work the way it should, and you have shut the door on support. When I paid you for my lifetime license, there was no mention of support being limited to one year. The internet has records of your website which I have screen shotted as I assume you will continue lying about this.
