drag the widgets of your choice into the sidebar widget area(s)

Hi, you should be able to log into your admin panel, then select widgets under appearance, then drag out the stuff you dont want and re-arrange as you wish.

Try adding a widget via Appearance->Widgets. This should replace the sidebar’s default content.
