Side bar is gone, the bolg design suddenly is a mess!

    Yesterday I updated the version of wordpress (3.1) an suddenly my blog is a mess! the background is all moved, the footer dissapeared, and the side bar is almost gone! although I can see all the content form the administrator page, in my blog doesn’t show that content, only the first 2 blocks of text.

    What happened? does any body knows?

    The theme I am using is one that I design and it was working perfectly, do I have to go back to the older version of wordpress? is that evenpossible?

    Do I have to redesign all over again? I will kill myself is that is the solution! ?? I also have a problem with the stats, but I just received a message saying they are working on that … is this issue linked to the other?

    Thanks for the info, I delete the plug ins that are supposed to be trouble but still nothing happen, and do the other stuff is far from my capabilities ?? I don’t know how and I don’t want to create a bigger problem.

    Are you a technician from wordpress? can you help me ?

    Please, is anyone outhere than can help me? I can’t fix my blog and this link that @alchymyth posted is good if you know HTML but I don’t! is any body outhere that can help me, or at least tell what to do?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Thanks @esmi, but I have a question:

    What is the twenty ten theme?

    and how can I re-upload the wp-admin and wp-includes folders?

    I am really affraid of loosing all the content, I don’t know how to do that …

    The only thing that I can do is deactivate the plugins, everything else is above my capabilities …

    The WordPress default theme. See Appearance->Themes.

    You will need to use FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    I am really affraid of loosing all the content,

    Your content is stored in your database – not in any files.
