    Hello, I am making a woo commerce store and am using the sidebar widget with products being filtered by categories. In the sidebar on the left of my website I display categories, I’m looking for a way to make only the main parent category titles bold, but Not the sub categories. I am also trying to add a border around the entire sidebar. Have searched everywhere for a solution. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks!

    Hello flamey23,

    Thank you for reaching out to WooCommerce support with your website customization query.

    I understand you’re looking to style your sidebar widget on your website so that only the main parent category titles are bold and to also add a border around the entire sidebar.

    While providing custom code solutions falls outside our Support Policy, I would recommend sharing your website URL and screenshots that illustrate the sections you want to modify.

    This will help our knowledgeable community members to have a clearer understanding of your needs and they might be able to provide you with custom CSS snippets to achieve the desired look.

    Thank you for your understanding, and I hope you’ll find the assistance you need within our vibrant community. ??

    Best regards.

    Thanks Zubair??

    Unfortunately the website is hosted locally. I am trying to make the parent categories bold like this: https://imgur.com/TuKY6kM

    I have tried the following code but this is not working:

    .wc-block-product-categories-list li a:first-child{
    color:orange!important;
    }

    Hi there @flamey23 ??

    Thank you for reaching back, with further details on this.

    Without access to the actual site’s source code, it is near impossible to investigate further, I’m afraid.

    I am making a woo commerce store and am using the sidebar widget with products being filtered by categories.

    Nevertheless, just to clarify, did you already have a chance to reach out to the support channel of the plugin in use for sidebar widget, or otherwise?

    I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.
