Side bar & widget are not displayed

  • Hello,

    I’ll need some help cause I really don’t understand what’s going on :).
    So the webiste ref: WordPress 4.6.1 / Kuorinka child theme.

    The problem: I activated the side bar only in few pages. But when I wanted to customize it with some widget. It doesn’t appear!

    Could you please let me know what to do..
    NB: I have no technical knowledge ??

  • Hai dear welcome to wordpress support forum, actually i test out this child template and i activated it in some pages but i can edit it no issues here , my voucher codes uk website is rise like your issues so i checked and find a plugin need updation so i updated it then issue solved so i think you can update all plugins now or send me the screenshots of error showing

    Are you using some kind of plugin for this? Could that be the problem.

    Also if you can give link to your site I can take a look.

    Here the thing, I descativated all the plugins and they are all updated and no changes here for the sidebar. :/ !

    Thank you in advance for the help.
    Regarding your question, I use only the widget given on the theme. So here teh link for the HP it’s ok but for this page for ex where I wanted the sidebar to be activated https://www.holkenconsultants.com/projets-hc/media4dplayer/ it doesn’t work.

    Hmm that’s weird. It could be bug on my end.

    Do you have these kind of settings:

    1. Global Layout setting in the Customize set as One column.
    2. In Media 4d player page you have set two column layout.

    Hi Sam,

    If I really understand what you mean, I would answer that, the theme provides 3 templates for the pages: full page, one column right and one column left.
    So I choosed the full page template for most of my pages.
    and for some few, the one column right template (media4dplayer as ex)
    one an other detail, I’m using the home page widget to customise the content.
    is that what you wanted to know?

    How could I send you some screenshot to give you more explainations ? I’ll surely appreciate cause I’m so desperate.

    Sorry for slow answer. I’m been busy at working.

    So I choosed the full page template for most of my pages.

    You should set global layout in the Customizer, not individually for every page.

    Then you can overwrite global layout individually for some pages.

    I’m using the home page widget to customise the content.

    That’s only for Front Page Template. Do you have widgets in Primary sidebar?
