Hi Joe,

They are similar, but they all had their own way of getting the result, as there are a few ways to do this.

Basically this all about ‘positioning’ items such as a button or a frame with several items.

The main idea behind this is to style the item as
position:fixed;
and also tell it where to sit e.g.

left -30px;
top:20px;

I’ve never tried programming of any sort. I don’t suppose there are any plug-ins to do any of this out there?

If what you want is a set of socialmedia buttons, start by installing a social media plugin such as ‘Floating Social Media Links-plugin.’

Then adjust the code or settings [depending on the user-friendliness of the plugin].

Make sure the position is ‘fixed’
Then give a value for the location.

The code in the pastebin link is a complete HTML-page.
Copy the code and paste it into an EDITOR like ‘NOTEPAD++’ [free] and save it as an html page e.g. ‘testpage.html’
Use any png-image and call it ‘testbutton.png’.

Now you have a test-situation you can use to play around with, and get some idea of the basics.
