• I have read other posts regarding this issue but can’t seem to fix it.
My site https://birdhammer.com and I am using modularity lite theme.
It would be nice to see how the side bar looks with my content and everything else but it has never been on the side; always below my last post(s), then my footer below that. I have never altered my sidebar width or any css.
I work in Firefox and when I view the site from explorer it looks normal. I really want to fix this so I don’t have to keep going back and forth. I appreciate the time spent helping me and all others!!

try sorting out the following markup error, and see if it resoves the issur:

Line 373, Column 7: end tag for “div” omitted, but OMITTAG NO was specified</body>
    ?

You may have neglected to close an element, or perhaps you meant to “self-close” an element, that is, ending it with “/>” instead of “>”.

Wow, this is amazing…I don’t even know how to interpret all this stuff! This link you sent, it’s great.
It’s pretty sad to feel like an idiot, yet, where in the world is line 373? You are so kind to try to help but can you back up a bit? If I were on my own, say before coffee, I may try to count the lines…where would I start?!
Trust me, I did actually try to find these places and “lines” noted in the link you gave me but…..how can be?

Use a text editor like NotePad++ (Windows) or TextWrangler (Mac) which is free and shows line numbers on the side ??

    What browser do you use?

I am using Mozilla, the current firefox, annapootle, something to add? I am on a PC using windows xp.
Okay, I am going to try to figure it out right now! Uh….I’m off to figure out how to use the notepad. Funny how it seems things lead further away.
Ipstenu, your little smiley face really takes the edge off your savvy quick notes.

I hope someone is still there, I installed notepad++ to my computer and copied my editor from my theme into it, yet, the line-age is incorrect. I can only assume I have made an error.
Can anyone explain how to do this?

Okay, I wasn’t sure if you were using safari or not, because this is a problem many WordPress users have with safari.

Try looking at your Notepad++ options. Let me know if you don’t find something that says what to do.

    Hope this helps!

It is under the comments for me, I use the same browser and Windows, is this what you are seeing?
