I have just discovered that there seems to be an issue with my blogroll at the moment and wondered if it is a bug.

I have made multiple changes to my blogroll and these changes are not being reflected on my site. I have deleted multiple entries in my links manager but these links are still appearing on my sidebar, my new links which I have added although appearing in my links manager page will not update and appear on my site.

Have I dicovered a bug or does anyone have any idea what is going on here and how I can resolve this problem??

    Many thanks

    Hi Whooami,
    Thanks for that!

How do I go about clearing my WP-cache?

The last link which I deleted but which is still showing up in my sidebar is Pleasure Cooker.com, there should be a link to https://kitchenwonders.blogspot.com but that isn’t showing up.

    I have WordPress 2.0.3 installed.

I dont use it so I cant tell you exactly where to go to empty it, and not surprisingly, posts here that mention it are ambiguous about its location.

I would ftp into your site, and look around for any folder that contains the word “cache”, including looking inside the various sub-directories like /wp-content. If you do happen to locate a dir. that looks like it might be it, it will have a bunch of oddly named files inside it — you can safely delete those.

If you are worried about deleting them after you have found them, feel free to post back here some of the filenames, and Ill reassure you.

** All of the above assumes you are using a cache, of course

Within my wp-content/cache folder I have a folder called
    c4ca4238a0b923820dcc509a6f75849b
Is this the folder I’m looking for?

Within this folder I have several subfolders such as category, options, pages and within these there are plenty of wierd named files such as
    05ba23c362580d380bf169d42a0a266c.php
    How should I proceed?

yap, those are them, you can delete all those wierd files.

In each of the sub directories?

I have deleted the files in the cache as instructed but it hasn’t made any difference, any other ideas?

I have managed to resolve most of the problem now the only issue is the indenting of my various headers etc in my sidebar.

The user added segments appear without a bullet point and the category sub-categories (does that make sense?) don’t indent.

Can anyone help me resolve these final issues?

    Thanks

    Hello Posiesplace.

Did you get your strange indenting problem solved?

I’m having the same problem here. It’s been driving me nuts for months! (WordPress 2.1.3 – using the sidebar widgets)

    I found the answer!
It seems that if I use the excellent vslider theme AND enable FULL widget sidebar replacement AND include the bogroll as a widget…then it indents.
So I stopped doing that and all is well! I see there’s a new WordPress out today – I wonder if that’ll solve things…
