Hi, In my Woocommerce shop (with Astra theme and Elementor Pro) I would like to add filters (checkboxes) in the sidebars. I tried to add the basic WP filter widgets to a sidebar (I tried 2 filter plugins as well because design is not what I like).

    Basicly 2 things not working:

If I make a full with page, edit with elementor, choose sidebar widget (as shown here in you docs: https://docs.elementor.com/article/434-sidebar-widget) only the basic search button is shown.

Also in a regular sidebar, the filters do not work: in products I get an empty sidebar.

Product archive with filter sidebar: https://social.dev-sites.nl/winkel/ but I don’t want this, because some categories must be excluded.

The shop page where I want the filters: https://social.dev-sites.nl/social-shop/

    Hope this makes sence.

I tried deactiviating all plugins and using 2019 theme.

    Regards, Myra

    Hi @sitesandsearch
Are you still having trouble with this?

    Hi @lisaelementor,
Yes, I couldn’t fix it. I switched from Astra to JupiterX since that is a familair theme for me. But problem still occured.

At this moment we are looking into how products could be organized best. Because it seems variable products doesn’t give te result my client wants. My client wants a category filter, but that functionality isn’t possible with Woocommerce.

He has single products in the 4 season categories, and next to that 15 ‘subject’ categories/tags e.g. business, vacation etc. (but these are not variations, these are tags).

I’m now trying to convince him the filter isn’t that necessary and we choose single categories only…. (that solves this issue as well lol )
