• I am a fairly competent coder, but seem to have hit my wits end with this.

    Have a look:

    https://www.mamatulip.com/

See the sidebar? the fonts are bold and italic…i am totally not able to find where to make these fonts NOT bold and NOT italic…..here is where it gets weird…

if you scroll to the bottom of the page, and click the link for PREVIOUS ENTRIES, the sidebar looks GREAT! perfect font styling….whats up with that?? how can i get the first/main page to have that same style??

and secondly….about 3/4 down the page on the first page you’ll notice all the fonts start getting bold in the post. I have not been able to find anything odd with the coding of those posts either…but who knows…i could be missing something….I am also thinking this might have something to do with my bold sidebar fonts too…..

any help/guidance/support would be most appreciated as the wife is wanting me to get this fixed up before she tells everyone she’s migrated to WordPress from Blogger….

    ??

    Thanks.

Ok, seems like i fixed my own problem. There was 1 post that seemed to have a </em > tag…deleted that tag, and all was good……thanks anyway…

Why don’t you check the source code for those 2 posts where
    a) the italics start
    b) the bold starts

I didn’t do it for you because:
    1. your page is too long for me to look at the source code
    2. you are in a frame

Are you using the wysiwyg editor? That often puts a lot of garbage code everywhere…

In your post, dated 5/31/06, you have this line:

“The thing was so big and so fat and had so many f***ng legs it wouldn’t fit down the drain. It wouldn’t fit down the drain.”

The final “It wouldn’t fit down the drain” doesn’t have a closing tag, so everything that appears after it is showing up bold and italic.

You need to be sure you have closing tags for open ones! ??
