Sidebar in wrong place – template changing in browsers

Hi, I’m putting together a site and although the layout looks fine in firefox and safari in internet explorer the sidebar seems to sit within the wrap instead of outside on the right.

Any ideas on why this is happening?? Also this seems to be pushing the content down out of the wrap box..
