Sidebar is at bottom of template after trying to remove sidebar from site

looks alright on the front page (index.php).
did you check that the sidebar is removed in: single.php, page.php, archive.php, category.php, and possibly in some custom php files?
there are not too many files in your theme – just check them all ??
