Sidebar issues.

My sidebar wouldn’t show up at all when a post was viewed, but after reading another article on this forum, it was suggested that the <?php get_sidebar(); ?> tag was entered. I have entered this code, but now look:

I am unsure where in the script to enter the code? It’s prolly a silly question.
