Thank you for the great plugin. Since so many folks will be switching from plugins with similar names, specifically the Code Snippets plugin, it would be nice if you could change the label for this plugin that displays in the WP admin sidebar to WPCode Snippets. That one small change would instantly distinguish it from other plugins that have similar labels in the sidebar.

Thank you for the suggestion. We specifically made sure that our menu label is different than other snippet plugins.

For example, the one that you’re referencing to — their menu label is “Snippets” and they have a scissor icon.

Our label is Code Snippets with WPCode icon.

Most users will not have two plugins that do the same thing. We have a built-in way to import snippets from other snippet plugins to make it easy ??

I’m so fed up with the hubris of devs I could scream.

LOTS of site owners set these things up once and forget them. NONE of them pay attention to logos in those sidebars.

ALL of them who are switching from other plugins to this one will have 2 similar plugins, at least at first.

And it’s not evident that there is a way to easily import from other plugins. That should be prominent.

You asked for feedback. I’m telling you what me and my peeps saw and didn’t see. But if you are like most devs and think the way you see it is all that counts, or your plugin is perfect and end users are stupid, then there you go.

You gave feedback, and they listened to what you had to say. Not agreeing with your opinion isn’t hubris, it’s a difference of opinion.

Ultimately if they choose not to act on the feedback you give that’s on them.
