    I’m using the stucco theme and it was working great. Then after my last post (into a new category) it moved my sidebar below my posts. I tried deleting the post and it was still down there. But it’s not below the posts if you look at an individual post. My blog is at: https://www.nickmaise.com

    I did do a search on this and found some info on using a validator to find the error. The search was done here: https://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nickmaise.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&verbose=1
    It says there are two errors but they don’t look like errors to me. I think this is the section in my code they are talking about:

    <li id="about">About <ul>

    <p>Your #1 Resource for Free Health, Fitness, and Polyphasic Sleep Information</p>

    </ul>
    </li>

    I’m new to HTML and don’t really know PHP or XHTML. After I checked the validation I tried using different themes and reinstalling stucco but the sidebar is below no matter what theme I use. Could someone please help?

    Thanks a lot,
    Nick

  • Usually it’s not an error but something too wide either in the sidebar or the content area. It could be an image, a long link, an invisible script…

    Well I did have one image on there and deleted it but that didn’t change anything. I don’t have any long links on there, so how would I go about finding an invisible script?

    Try deleting your cache folder under the wp-content.

    I don’t have a cache folder under wp-content. I checked the other folders and couldn’t find one in there either.

    Can someone give me a little help with this. I can’t seem to figure it out.

    Thanks,

    Check out your Here are my measurements post…
    especially this portion of code in it:
    Here are my starting measurements. I’ll probably be updating them once a month. Maybe more often if there are significant changes.
    <div style="text-align: center"><img width="207" height="365" alt="Starting Measurements" id="image15" src="https://www.nickmaise.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2006/03/032106%20Starting%20Values1.JPG" /></div>
    <div style="text-align: center">
    <div style="text-align: center">
    <div style="text-align: center" /></div>
    </div>
    </div>

    Those 3 divs are totally useless and the last one has an error: />
    Kill them all ??

    Okay. I’ve made a little bit of progress. I shortened all the titles to my posts. The sidebar is still on the bottom, but now my footer is where my sidebar should be. I’ve found a theme that works with my site too (Word Press Classic 1.5). But it’s much too wide and I don’t like it. This makes me believe that you were right moshu (thanks for helping by the way), that it is an image, a long link, an invisible script. I tried deleting the image but it didn’t help so I added it back in. As for the long links I do have a couple links but all the addresses are hidden. I don’t know if this makes a difference or not. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

    Thanks a lot moshu! That fixed it.

    Yes, Moshu – this helped me too! Thanks
