  • I am having a similar issue. I updated to 2.0.9.2 just now and my static home page is being defaulted to the left nav sidebar even though the checkbox is checked to allow that sidebar to be replaced. I have tried multiple sidebars on the home page itself however none of them are responding to the change.

    I am using verion – 2.0.9.2
    Wordpress – 3.9.3

    Hi guys,

Thanks for reporting this, we’ve just had this confirmed through another report as well and the developer’s been updated with the details.

We should have an update along shortly, thanks for your patience! ??

    Cheers,
    David

    Hey guys,

actually we were not aware that people were placing custom sidebars on a static front-page using the sidebars metabox… well, until we saw this thread today.

The intended solution to put a custom sidebar on the front-page is:
Go to Widgets screen > Edit the “Sidebar Location” > Select “Archive: Front Page”.
This option now works with both static front page and default front page.

However, to maximize compatibility we have just published an update – in version 2.0.9.3 you can use *both* options:
    (a) “Archive: Front-Page” OR
    (b) the page metabox
If both options are set, then “Archive Front-Page” takes priority…

Thanks again for pointing out this issue and making us aware of this possibility! Let us know in case there is anything else you need help with ??

    Thanks, Philipp
