Sidebar not working

    Christine, this is what fixed it for me.

    1. Disable Custom Sidebars plugin
    2. install and activate Simple Page Sidebars plugin
    3. Go to Settings -> Reading and pick the default sidebar.
    4. Go to a page, create a new sidebar (you may be able to skip this step)
    5. Disable Simple Page Sidebars
    6. Enable Custom Sidebars
