My Blog’s sidebar is showing up on the single membership page

I’m getting around this right by some CSS that hides the sidebar but it would be nice to either:

1 – Use is_singular(“membership”) and be able to define it’s own sidebar
2 – Have the ability to use templates for these pages and then use a template that doesn’t show a sidebar.

Actually, being able to use templates are ALL pages in LifterLMS would be awesome.

  • @karlikdesign,

Page templates (that are available via Page Attributes) are not available in WordPress for Custom Post types at all. This is being developed for release in WP Core 4.7 and we’ll be looking into adding it to LifterLMS. You can read more about this at https://make.www.ads-software.com/core/2016/11/03/post-type-templates-in-4-7/

LifterLMS does not create Membership sidebars, we could look into adding this in the future but you actually can use is_singular(“membership”) (but do is_singular(“llms_membership”) because that’s the name of the membership post type) to define your custom sidebar for memberships. This is purely theme domain and we’re not stopping you from doing this.
