• Trying to get a sidebar to appear on the static front page of my site.

The site in question is, https://cloudchurch.co.nf/ .

I tried to just set that page as ‘sidebar right’ but that didn’t work, and to be honest, I’d like it to be like a regular page (on the left) anyways.

I honestly tried to figure it out without bothering you here, but to no avail. I’m pretty sure I need to edit the front-page.php file, but it looks like it has the sidebar code in it already.

My next guess would be to check the functions.php file, but at this point I’d just be guessing and messing with it without any real direction.

If you could lend yet another assist to me, I’d be grateful (seeing as there’s no way to buy you a beer).

    Thanks in advance,

I have to admit that I’ve never used this theme to set up a sidebar on the front page, so I don’t know off hand how I’d choose to do it.

However, there *is* a sidebar on the front page – it’s just positioned at the bottom, horizontally. It’s the same HTML, however, so you should be able to accomplish this just by editing CSS.

All of the styles are tied to the .home class on the <body> element – in fact, you’ll end up with a perfectly normal sidebar if the only thing you change is removing the class .home from that page, so that might be your best strategy.
