  • It looks like you are using a commercial theme to which this forum’s members don’t have access. Best to approach your theme’s support service.

I would expect the answer to be to find the shop page in the list of pages and edit it. Then look for the page template setting. Make sure you have not selected the “full width template”. Try the “woocommerce” template or the “default” template, then the others. The theme documentation is unclear to me about what these templates look like. If you manage to set up a sidebar, you’ll need to go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets to populate the sidebar widget area. Its possible that even with a sidebar enabled template, you won’t see a sidebar if it has no widgets.

I have enabled the sidebar on the shop page, it appears at the bottom of the page

I think this is a theme issue. You’ll need to ask your theme’s support service about it. If you were using a www.ads-software.com theme, helpers on here would have a chance.

since I didn’t buy the theme, the customer arrived later dame, where can I open a ticket for the theme? ask for support?

The theme author is Edge Themes. See:
    https://themeforest.net/item/hndlavet-modern-ecommerce-theme/23975699

Their page says that the theme price includes support for 6 months, and judging by the version number of the theme used on your customer’s site, its some 3 years since it was purchased. You can ask Edge Themes but do not be surprised if they decline to help.

Your site has version 1.0 of the theme but version 1.3 is the current version. That’s a lot of fixes and updates, so it may be worthwhile for your client to buy a current licence to get theme updates and support. The later versions include compatibility with later WordPress and WooCommerce versions. See the changelog on the link.

The alternative would be to migrate to a free theme which is popular and updated regularly. Of course there would be a developer setup cost with that approach.

So do you recommend repurchasing the license to get support and assistance from the theme?

I wouldn’t say I recommend or don’t recommend that. Your choices are:

Buy a new licence to get support and updates from the theme authors
Maintain the code yourself, PHP skills or a developer will be needed
Migrate to free, popular and well maintained theme

Its going to depend on skill levels available, how much the client likes his current theme and the budget available.

All I’m saying really is www.ads-software.com forums can’t help with commercial themes.
