    Hello there,

Great plugin mate, it is very useful. But I would like to adjust the sidebar (it currently shows a widget-like function and says: “Next Story”, eventhough at the widgets menu I can not see that a widget is enabled at that section)

Also, I would like to disable the “comments” icon which is also clickable. Because I do not want any comments at the achievements.

And, the category os the achievements (which I hace named “Achievements”) are clickable. After clicking on this, the page is empty, like there are no achievements in the achievements category. Is it possible to show an overview of the achievements again, or to disable it to click on the category itself?

I am using the Hueman theme (wordpress featured theme).

Kind regards and a happy 2014!

    Hi, thanks.

it currently shows a widget-like function and says: “Next Story”

This is your theme, not the Achievements plugin. Take a look in /themes/hueman/inc/post-nav.php.

Because I do not want any comments at the achievements.

You should be able to turn off comments for a particular achievement by de-selecting “allow comments” on the “Discussion” box on the add/edit screen (e.g. https://themetrust.com/knowledgebase/how-do-i-turn-off-comments)

And, the category os the achievements (which I hace named “Achievements”) are clickable.

I’ll take a look. The category support was intended for people building out custom theme integrations, I hadn’t found a WordPress theme that showed these for Achievements. I’ve made a bug report at https://github.com/paulgibbs/achievements/issues/128 so I’ll remember to look into this for a future version.

    Thanks!

    Heya Paul,

Thanks a lot for the response. I have fixed the first issue.

About the second issue, I already disabled the comments for the page, but my theory is that when I installed this plugin it automatically created a new URL (www.examplewebsite.com/achievements). So when I change anything on the page I made after installing the plugin, it doesn’t have any effect on the actual front-end.

It is possible for me to disable the comments function by editing the plugin files?

Once again, thank you very much for your help. I really appreciate it.

Oh — only comments on the main .com/achievements/ URL? I thought you meant the pages for each individual achievement (which is do-able through wp-admin, as I described before).

Your theme’s page.php has a hardcoded comments block. For the Hueman theme at time of writing (Hello people reading this in the future — this probably won’t work for you!), download this -> https://gist.github.com/paulgibbs/f53835fe5ff208525394 <- and save it as /themes/hueman/plugin-achievements.php

I think this should then work. I haven’t tested this at all. ??
