Sidebar-problems

You will want to make sure that your pages are using the “Default” page template, but most importantly, to make sure your widgets are in the “Page Right Sidebar” position.

This theme has two sets of left and right sidebar columns:

1. One for the blog
2. One for “Pages”

If you have widgets in your blog right sidebar, but you want these to show on the pages as well, you need to drag a new set of those widgets into the Page Right Sidebar position.

If you have widgets showing in the bottom area, check those sidebar positions in your widgets admin area.

The sidebar is working now as I reset the “default” page template. One problem ist left: Now there is a sidebar on the left AND on the right. How can I remove the left one? And is it also possible to show the sidebar only on single pages?

As for showing widgets only on the “single” post view, I’m guessing you mean you don’t want any left or right sidebar on the blog home page (where the post intros are shown) ?

If so, this theme does not have a “full width” blog style option, although the pro version does. But if you still use widgets on the blog home page view, you can manage where those are shown by following that link I posted above.

Okay. The widget you are talking about is installed and it works. Its the second part of your answer, what is interesting for me. The “full width-function” for single pages. And this is only possible in the ProVersion (for about 39 $), right?

I might consider adding a full width blog style option to the Aberration Lite theme. I’ve had a couple requests in the past for that.
