Hello, sorry if I sound naive. I am used to quick frontpage editing (this would have taken 3-4 seconds) and now I have about a week into this. All I am trying to do is to just make the sidebar a little bigger to support the google adsense so it doesnt stick out. I am using itheme2.

Now, I understand you find the sidebar entry in the css and change it. I copied it out of wp to frontpage so I could do searches but there is no entry called sidebar or #sidebar in the 1300 line css.

This should not be so difficult – or is it?

You should not modify theme files at all – those changes will be lost when the theme is updated. The way to make such changes is by first creating a child theme –

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Child_Themes

Then changes can be made in the child theme.

It’s also not always simple to change the layout of theme- as changing some parts will likely affect other parts – are you familiar with CSS?

For specifics, have you asked the developers of your theme?

These forums only provide theme-specific help for themes from this site, so they’d be the best ones to ask.

Thank you both for the quick repies. I really appreciate it. I will ask the theme developers, and if it is not possible then oh well. But at least I wont spend any more time on it.

    Thanks!!
