Today after many months of working fine my side bar does not load on the static home page which is my recent posts.
If you navigate using my menu which is a mix of post categories and pages it reappears.

I have not changed any code ever apart from adding Skimlinks into the footer weeks ago.
I am running Twenty Twelve and have the same two plug ins that I have had for some time Google PRivacy and Subscribe2, which I tried updating this morning and no difference.
I am puzzled as I have not changed anything, I did add a new advert campaign widget yesterday but initially it seemed to work fine.

Any ideas? Help please many thanks Dave

Front page is recent posts I meant.

The odd thing is when I reduce the display number of posts down from 3 to 2 the side bar appears again?

Any ideas what the issue is?

It is the same in IE, Firefox and Google Chrome

Could you, please, temporarily disable ALL your plugins? And leave the display # of posts as it is (3 posts)

Thanks Media X I have just tried that and still no luck, it seems only setting to 2 posts displayed will fix it?

Even using refresh didnt fix it until I reset to 2 posts.

It is odd because the side bar appears when you go to any menu option some are post categories others are pages.

    Any other suggestions?

Had a similar issue with IE not displaying banner adverts from eBay when I reduced from 4 posts displayed to 3 it went away.

worrying somehow I will end up with 1 post or no posts soon!

I did add a new advert campaign widget yesterday but initially it seemed to work fine.

I don’t think this is just a coincidence.

I tried removing the ad campaign and it did not make any difference.
Not sure if removing things by moving the widget back to the reusable area is enough?

the eBay issue was banners appearing all over the page where they should not be and not actually disappearing in IE

forgot to add when the sidebar disapeared it showed an odd footer of recent comments, a couple of advert widgets and that was it, again clicking on a comment put the side bar back

    Hi Media X
Think you were on the right track but it was potentially another advert issue or maybe the code I found on a Music Post?

I found that one music review post had lost its title, so explored more and the preceding one had this script on the end of an Amazon Widget code block

    <script type=”text/javascript

No idea how it happened, anyway removing it fixed the missing title of the next post.

I then took the Amazon overwrite off from Skimlinks at the same time.

Rechecked the site and working fine again, not sure if it is just one of the above or both…..
