Sidebar truncated in tablet view (at short pages)

    Hi there,

    Since the option for a sticky sidebar was added to the theme, the sidebar is not always displayed properly in ‘tablet view’ (= screen size between 480px and 960px in width and toggle button ‘<<‘ active to unfold the sidebar).

    The problem occurs when there is a short page combined with a long sidebar.

    Like here:
    – https://www.q-art.nl/contact/

    The sidebar is simply truncated as soon as the bottom of the main content is reached (again: just in resolutions between 480px and 960px in width).

    Is there a solution to solve this problem please?

    You are not using sticky sidebar on your contact page.
    We need to see the issue.

    Please disable all third party plugins when replicating the issue.

    Hi,

    You CAN see the issue, just take a look at the page (in the given resolutions).

    The fact I don’t use a sticky sidebar on this website at the moment doesn’t matter. Hueman offers two choices – sticky sidebar or not – and in both choices there should be no truncated sidebar, right?

    But it is truncated. Not only on this website, but on other websites using the Hueman theme as well.

    Disabling other plugins doesn’t help..

    I’m with recent wp, hueman, addon.

    I can also reproduce the effect @plimfec is talking about, between 480 and 960px.

    I use 3 columns layout not sticky sidebars, and the reported problem happens to both left and right sidebar on my site. Sometimes only left sometimes only right, sometimes both are truncated.
    From 20 trials, opening and closing sidebars, 13 times failed to show the sidebar content under main field end level.

    Please put up an issue report on Hueman Theme’s github. Please provide steps to reproduce your issue. It will be much better, If you can also provide screen-shots or screen-cast,

    Hi Denzel,

    The steps to provide the issue:
    – Open the site and then narrow the screen below 960 px.
    – When outlook changes to tablet view, open sidebar with toggle button.
    – Scroll to the bottom of the page
    – See right and left sidebar truncated
    (Second link is showing scribd prentscreens of the issue.)

    I’m not familiar with github, so thats why I report it here.

    Thanks very much @kerdezo for providing more examples and screenshots. It’s indeed exactly the same issue I’m dealing with.

    As far as I experience, the issue is limited to short pages and a resolution between 480px and 960px in width, like described before.

    The screenshots by @kerdezo illustrate the issue very well I think.
