My hunch is a conflict with the theme. I downloaded the theme and tried it on a simple test site and both the shortcode and the widget are working.

The theme recommends the Bunyad Page Builder, Shortcodes, and Widgets plugins, as well as the Custom Sidebars plugin. Are you using any of those?

Yes! I use all of them except Custom Sidebar. Custom Sidebar has been installed but not activated.

Drag-and-drop page builder plugins store content differently. My plugin is compatible with many but not all. I need to see the page builder code to figure out how to make my plugin compatible. But I cannot find the Bunyad plugins anywhere. Do you know where I can get them?

If Bunyad is not commercially available anymore, I am not willing to make the effort to make my plugin compatible. And if I were you, I would reconsider whether I wanted to rely on them.
