Sidebar Widget Menu Not Showing in Admin Area

    Hi!

    I’m stuck. I have sidebar widgets that I added while using one theme and then switched to another theme. Now, when I go to the admin area, there are no sidebars available for me to add widgets too. All of the widgets that do show up on my site, are no longer available to add/change or delete because the sidebars in the admin area simply are not there.

    When I switch back to the original theme, I see them. When I make changes while in the old theme, the changes do not transfer to the new theme. I hope that makes sense. ??

  • Maybe the new theme doesn’t support any sidebar? What is the name of the new theme?

    I have even tried rolling it back to twenty ten, twenty eleven, etc. They have just vanished. ?? New theme is yoko.

    So no “Sidebar 1” and “Sidebar 2” from the Yoko theme? Have you try to deactivate plugins to see if it was the plugins can cause the error? Can you make a screenshot?

    I did a restore of my database and everything seems fine now. It’s a mystery. Thank you for your help!
