I like the sound – but

Warning: require_once(D:\webworld\bantryyouth\bantryyouth.net\www\wordpress/wp-content/plugins/king-includes/library/king_widget_functions.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\webworld\bantryyouth\bantryyouth.net\www\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\widgets\king-text.php on line 360

Instead of using spacer widgets, why not try using the more correct CSS approach instead?

Your theme design is a bit odd there. It seems like you’re not enclosing the widgets in a big unordered list structure like is normally done. That would have made things a lot simpler, as then you could simply adjust the top and bottom margins on .sidebar ul li {} and create any spacing you want.
