    Hi,

I added the Yada Wiki widget to my theme’s sidebar on my staging site and gave it a title. Unfortunately, when I go to that page the widget only displays title.

    HELP?

    Hi auditdataanalytics,

What are you trying to show? The TOC? Have you created a TOC page?

    Hi David,

I created a help page to be the TOC with the following short code: [yadawiki-index type=”pages” columns=”1″]. That works fine. I then added the Yada Wiki TOC widget to my theme’s sidebar and gave it a title, but I only see a title.

I really need to show the wiki pages in the sidebar on those pages. Otherwise the user will have to keep hitting the back button to get back to the TOC.

    Thanks so much.

    Hi auditdataanalytics,

I don’t think what you are trying to do will work. Perhaps these references may help:

    Creating the TOC Page:
    https://www.webtng.com/wiki/toc-page/

Using TOC shortcodes in the TOC page:
    https://www.webtng.com/wiki/using-multiple-shortcodes/

This is what the TOC page looks like for the documentation wiki that shows in the sidebar on my site:

So, it looks to me like the page must be named TOC, correct? It also looks like I need to create the TOC links myself?

I’m going to work on this today. I’ll try to remember to let you know how it works out!

    Thanks again.

    Hi auditdataanalytics,

Sounds like you are on the right track. Add a few things to your TOC page and then test out the widget, so you can see that it is working as you go along.

    Best,

Okay, it only took me a few minutes to establish this is absolutely working for me. I made a wiki post named TOC and put a link in it to one of the wiki pages. The sidebar now shows something.

    THANK YOU.

I’m off to put in the rest of the links!
