Sidebar / widgets not floating properly

Dear people,

Please, i need some help on the following website: https://tripjes.juuth.com/. It’s using the Sight theme by WPSHOWER.

The sidebar behaving strangely. Using Firebug, i can see that it doesn’t run until the bottom of the page. Also, (text) widgets seem to run over the entire width of the container. I have tried giving .textwidget a width smaller than the sidebar. This makes the widget show up under the content (i think this shows the sidebar starts directly under the content instead of next to it).

Also, the blueish logo displayed is in a sidebar widget, but using firebug it doesn’t seem to be in the sidebar at all!

The sidebar is called for from the footer.php file, which is strange to me. I have edited css often before, but don’t know where to start with this one.

I’s really appreciate it if someone would take a look.
