The widgets code replaces the sidebar with widgets. If you want to call other plugins in the sidebar, then you either need to:
    a) Find widgets for those plugins, or
    b) Copy the sidebar code from where you put it before into a new widget that can run PHP.

I have a PHP widget that you can install available here:
    https://ottodestruct.com/blog/2006/04/09/fun-with-widgets/

It’s basically like a Text widget, except that you can put php code in there (like for your other plugins) and it will work just as if you had put it in the sidebar. ??

    Otto,

Thanks for the help. I downloaded your widget and will try it tomorrow.

I’ve been told that the RSS-1 widget doesn’t work. Do you know if that’s true?

As far as the other post, it was because I couldn’t find this post.

I think the WP search on this website leaves a lot to be desired. I have trouble finding posts I’ve started. I search on my username and brings up some, but not all, of my posts.

It would be helpful if the search had more options, like for username.

    The RSS Widget works fine.

To find your own posts, look in the upper right corner to see your Profile. A list of all your posts is there.

    Otto,

I want to hug you. ??

Your widget is wonderful. All sorts of things that have been driving me nuts for over a week are now working.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

    Brooks
