  • Hi @leacb!

    Thanks for choosing Neve!

Could you please provide us a screencast showing how does the issue appear? Also, it would be great if you could provide us the URL to your site and tell us what WordPress version and Neve version you are using.

Thank you and have a nice day!

    Hi @leacb!

Unfortunately I am not able to replicate the issue, the sidebar appears as expected on my test instances. This problem could be cause by a plugin conflict. Please try to backup your site, deactivate all plugins, then reactivate them one by one so you will be able to check which one could cause this and replace it with an alternative plugin. Also, please try to clear the cache.

    I hope this helps!

    Have a nice day!

    Hello @luciamarinescu,

I have backup my website and deactivate all my plugins and activate my plugins one by one. But it don’t help. Than i clear my cache. But it also don’t help.

So I don’t know what I can do next? My sidebar is gone.

The funny thing is that when I click on the widget button in the customiezer, then not my widgets come up but the instructions on how to create the widgets. Only when I click away these instructions do my widgets appear in my bar, but I don’t see them in my customizer window.

I don’t Know if this is importend, cause it cames since i do the wordpress update three weeks ago.

I hope you have an idea what i can do next? If you have no idea i thank you anyway for your help.

    Hi @leacb!

Please make sure the sidebar settings are correctly configured in Customizer -> Layout -> Content/Sidebar for every page that you want it to be displayed on. The “Left” or “Right” option should be selected under “Sidebar Layout” and the Content width should be smaller than 100%, as you can see here.

If the configuration in the Customizer is correct and the sidebar still doesn’t appear, it may be because of the page template. For example, if the template used on a page is “Full width”, the content will be displayed on the whole width of the page so the sidebar won’t be visible. You could open the editor on the pages where the sidebar isn’t displayed, click on the settings wheel from the right side of the top bar, go to “Page” and check that the page template is set to “Default template”, as you can see here. Also, click on the Neve options button that is right next to the settings wheel and check that “Left” or “Right” is selected under Sidebar and the option selected under Container is “Default”, as you can see here. Then click on “Update” and when you’ll view the page, the sidebar should be visible.

    I hope this helps!

    Have a great day!

    Hey @luciamarinescu,

thank you for your quick help. And thank you for the Screenshots it helped me a lot to find what you mean.

But i have no good news for you. I have done all the instructions that you told i should do. I check my Sidebare Layouts i do checking my page template and the Neve options. I do alle settings that you told me.

I check it all a view times and do changing all the options that you told me but my sidebar is no visible.

So have you one last idea what i can do? I don’t know how i get my sidebar back.

Thank you for your time and your help.

    Hi @leacb!

I’m sorry to hear it still doesn’t work! I checked your blog page again and the template used on that page is still fullwidth. This is why the sidebar is not showing, it isn’t displayed if the template used is fullwidth. You have to change the template to Default. Please make sure you open the blog page, click on “Edit Page”, expand “Template” and change the template to Default in the editor, as you can see here. Then click on “Update” so the changes made will be saved. If this still doesn’t make the sidebar to appear, please provide us some screenshots with the sidebar settings made in the Customizer and the page template settings made in the Editor.

Thank you and have a nice day!

    Hello @luciamarinescu!

Thank you the Video helps a lot. I also found the issu that prevented my sidebar from being displayed. The customer contant width was set too high. So I reduce the width and i have my sidebar back.

So thank you a lot for your help and your time that you spend with my issue, thank you very much.

    Have a great day,
