• HI,

I updated the plugins on my account and have been having issues. When I contacted my hosting company they suggested I contact a forum.

This error comes up at the bottom of my page info: <b>Fatal error</b>: Call to undefined function print_custom_field() in <b>/home/yimcal5/public_html/wp-content/themes/twentyten/news_listing.php</b> on line <b>40</b>

I lost a lot of content and also the “news” button on my side panel where I access editing tools.

  • There is no print_custom_field() function in the default twenty ten theme. Nor is there a news_listing.php template file. Do not edit the Twenty Ten theme. First create a child theme for your changes.

For now, re-upload a fresh copy of the theme using FTP.

Why are you referring to ‘print_custom_field()

I do not know how to re-upload a fresh copy using FTP and I am apprehensive because I do not want to lose more content/formatting.

    Thank you for responding

Why are you referring to ‘print_custom_field()

because that is what the error message refers to.

have you ever added a template called news_listing.php to your theme?

if yes, what is the full code of that template?
(please use the pastebin https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Forum_Wefor that: lcome#Posting_Code )

does the template require a certain plugin to be activated?
